My name is Ray and I’m an illustrator and visual development artist who loves to combine historical and cultural research with psychological, character-focused storytelling. My primary interest has always been understanding the strange and unfamiliar through empathy and making connections to my own experiences.
I like to use strong shapes, moody atmospheres, and anatomical distortion in my art, and have a particular fondness for horror and historical settings. Although my childhood dream has always been to work in feature animation, I’m increasingly excited by the artistic experimentation and unique voices that are developing in other mediums!
